Upload Error: 500 help

i hope some one can help. i tried to upload a pdf file to a thread as i have done hundreds of times.i selected the pdf but i got this message Upload Error: 500 i have put up a new thread already today with out receiving this error message hope some one can help

i thought you were suppose to post problem here. i have tried to thread 2 patterns today and i keep getting error 500 but earlier i was able to post 2 threads please some one helpthank you
