Knitting Machine
So I thought I would become a knitting ninja and bought a knitting machine. The one I bought is old and boy is it hard to use!!! I am sitting here with the manual thinking I must not be speaking the same language because it really has a mind of its own and even just starting off is impossible!! It might join the spinning wheel in the garage :(I got a new sponge bar and gave it a good clean and we are all good to go!!!! What kind is it? I have a Brother 260 and a Brother 860 (I think its a 860 lol Id have to go check = its a standard 4.5). I can only do the basics really on both of them. Ive part hand knitted and part machine knitted fair isle sweaters. Using the machines on the boring part where there is only the one color, I made a really nice cotton hoodie using number 10 cotton crochet. I used to buy and sell machines off ebay many years ago before they became so expensive. Had a Singer, Brother Electronic and a Toyota but sold those 3. Once you have it set up, they are simple to use. static/image/common/user_online.gif tricialynn static/image/common/clock.gif 2019-8-8 19:02

Never had a kx350 before but the 860 or maybe 830 I really do have to go look lol. Does the job all the fancy ones do without the hassle of electronics. Its a punchcard. Easier to get than mylar sheets. People always go for the high end machines not realizing they are hard to get to get fixed if the electronics fail. they are just another standard machine. Where I live knitting machines are impossible to buy locally now. And youd have to send it away to get fixed. Costs a small fortune.
I love my KH260. You can use so many yarns on it. A lady sold it to me locally plus the ribber. table and books at least 20 yrs ago for $200. Her daughter was having a child and she needed the room. I would have kept it and made baby clothes. Those ones were made to last.I
I have a KR850 ribber but am missing the carriage. I think I gave it away when I sold the electronic machine. Wish I could find just a cheap carriage but so far no luck. I have 2 brother 970 and a brother 260 and they are easy to run
