I do both.I prefer crochet Amigarumi though.I havent knitted very many toys.I mostly knit accessories..maybe someday clothes.

Ive knit one doll. I usually knit sweaters. I know crochet as well but havent done amigurmi. I think this is cute but not for me.

I am going to try the crochet styles Wendy, I think you get more control of the shape than in knitti ...

I also do them in crochet, never knitted, at least up to know.I know how to knit as well but I only use it for sweaters

I knit and crochet, but I have never knitted toys.I find, overall, that when I crochet, I can improvise, but when I knit I pretty much have to know "where the pattern is going" - amigurumi is a specific art term coined to cover crochet.Back in the day, we called them stuffed toys and left it at that..... :)Does seem to be popular nowadays--maybe it is just easier to crochet stuffed toys than to knit them ?I dont know.
