Arumigami What on earth was I thinking
Hello Everyone I hope you are all having a good week. Inever for a moment realised how difficult Arumigami is, I really think knittingis easier and I had to teach myself to knit. The project I am working onis just a very simple doll and yesterday I started and pulled it out 9 times. I know what a single crochet is and am beginning to understand patterns, but every single times ny stitch count just goes crazy especially when it comes to just adding rows. Ladies I need your help and advice please Hi there,I learnt to crochet before I learnt to knit and it is a common complaint with knitters that learn to crochet that it is "impossible to count" stitches.
When you are knitting, your sts are on your needles and you can count them right away, no problem.
Crochet is different, becuase the way to count you sts is "reading your corchet".
Go to youtube and search for "How to Count Stitches / Counting Stitches: Crochet Basics" by "Knots & Kneedles".
I hope that helps!

Have you been looking at youtube? I find it easier to follow
Hello there and thank you for your response, yes I have been and there are many great videos to help you. My problem is my stitch count even if I start with the right amount of stitches for example 40 , 3 rows later I will have 50. I count with every row Crochet it definitely more involved, although both need your attention to stay on track. Ive frogged my crochet many times and still need to when I do not pay enough attention. Here are a few tips for beginners:
Use stitch markers; Watch your stitches carefully especially the first few stitches of a new row. And use enough light with darker yarns, no matter the color. :) You can do it, is very important to mantaine the count. use the stitch markers and all will be ok :)
dont give up, amigurumi is the best I use stichmarkers and a counter. its difficult at the beggining, they you became an addict! Make sure you are using a beginner pattern. It might be easier to follow a YouTube video until you are more confident. Always use stitch markers! It does get easier as you work more projects. static/image/common/user_online.gif randomname static/image/common/clock.gif 2019-10-5 20:59
