There are hundreds of amigurumi patterns in this site.
This book has "easy" on the title: http://www.pindiy.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=427460
Try something easy, such as a ball.

What is Arumigami? I know a little about Amigurumi.

A search "Amigurum" in "Crochet Knitting magazines|Books" section will find 259 books in different languages.
You should choose "your" language at least- this is important for learning.
For example, simple toys:
A Menagerie of Stitches - Lauren Espy - 100 Days of Mini Amigurumi
Coats Craft - e-book Amigurumis 17 ideas - Portuguese - Free

The section "Techniques|Tools|Equipment|Yarn|Fiber"contains 16 posts about Amigurumi.

Search amigurumi websites like The Friendly Red Fox, Grace and Yarn and topics like "Amigurumi for beginners". Tons of beginner information sources online. Including names to easy, beginner books and patterns.
