How long do you cross stitch
How long do you cross stitch? And how many stitches do you get done a day or week? I feel like I am so slow. I do maybe hundred a day if that and stitch maybe 2-3hours off and on . My stitchy bug has taken a vacation so my count at the moment is zero.I dont usually keep track of my stitches......... but more of my time spent stitching.I usually stitch while watching the TV with my husband. Cada uno tiene un rItmo de puntada diferente, lo importante es que la puntada sea uniforme y la velocidad se adquiere con el aumento de la experiencia Im busy bee this week and have no time for cross-stitch. So my count for this week is zero as well as CraftyLouAnna :)
Im using Cross-Stitch Saga, it counts stitches for me. When I have time I do 100-120 stitches per hour.
I think the speed depends on how do you stitch. Im using a frame or Q-snapsand both hands. So this is faster comparing with hoops and one hand (for me). I stitch on average 3-4 hours per day when working on projects.I havent figured out my stitches per hour for a long time and I dont get too hung up on the number.Stitching is relaxing for me.I stitch in the evening while watching tv with my husband. On-and-off stitching? Sweetie, thats called having a life... I havent counted stitches in any sitting but I do stitch for hours at a time, mostly while listening/watching Netflix/Disney/Prime. I loved cross stitching but because of my decease I cant hold the needle anymore :-( Its interesting to learn that people count stitches and that there is technology that will count them for you!I never would have thought about doing this. Some days Ill stitch a lot and others maybe not at all.
Im going to have to go read up on Cross Stitch Saga now and see what Ive been missing.
I try to put in a few stitches a day, some days I stitch for hours. I attempted to track my stitches once, but that made it seem like a "job". But everyone id different some see the counting of stitches as a challenge, a game of sorts.
I think the most important thing is to stitch on something you enjoy and enjoy the stitching. It is a hobby and not meant to cause stress or worry.
I do like to use my computer for the pattern because I can enlarge it and see it easy. I use PDF Exchange to view and mark the pattern. I use the built in print-to-PDF to change any images to PDF. I have not tried Pattern Keeper (android only) or Saga.
