Pattern Keeper

Edited by langstep at 2020-8-17 14:06

I have just purchasedthe app Pattern Keeper and after just three days I am wondering how I have lived without it.

There is only an android version at the moment, there appears to be an iOS in the pipeline. So I have loaded it onto an old 8" Samsung Note (we put a new battery in) and it works great. It reads PDFs, very simple to use.You mark your finished stitches, can mark parked threads and highlight symbol so makes finding stitches so much easier.

I am certain that I have stitch more of my HAED with Pattern Keeper the last few days, than I did with the paper pattern. The app is not expensive - AU$ 11.99, well worth the price. There is a 30 days trial that is fully working.I highly recommend this app, makes life so much easier.

The pattern I am working on is HAED - The Zodiac, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing. I have tried PatternKeeper and I was very impressed. It is fabulous how it keeps track of your progress by your marked stitches and gives you a % complete. However it is quite limited by what patterns it works with. It is great if you stitch those designers.
This is the list of supported designers:
Heaven and Earth design
Artecy
jan hicks creates!
Charting Creations
Paine free crafts
Tilton crafts
Pic2Pat
WinStitch/MacStitch
The Cross Stitch Studio
Golden Kite

I use mostly PDF files for patterns and I use either PDF x-change viewer on my Windows Laptop or adobe on my phone/tablet. You can use the highlight function to mark your pattern with both of these. I use the print to PDF function to change a jpg (image file ) to a PDF to use in these programs.

Sounds great!   I should look into it. I have a tablet that would be great to use with charts.I too still use paper charts.

Thank you so much for the information Langstep! I never heard of the app so I am going to check it out. I like @CraftyLouAnna idea to use it on a tablet. Sounds fun. Thanks again for letting us know about it and your opinion of it :loveliness:
