Question about Q-snap
Do you use Q-snap for your projects? Im using it now for the first time, and now I have to move the linen to keep on stitching, and I wonder if the embrodery can be damaged if its hold by the clamps, they are really strong and hard to remove, I dont wont to spoil my project, how do you do it? I rip a white paper towel into strips.I use two layers over my work. Also, I always remove the clamp when Im done for the day. When my stitching isnt covered, the clamps stay on until Im finished:) I just move it. I have never had a problem with my QSnap crushing my stitches or ruining my work. Reply 2# Drea66Thanks for answering Drea :) Ill try them, hope everything goes fine Im not really use Q-Snaps but I have one bigger Frame for a floor stand that has such snap holders. And Ive also never had any problems with my fabric although I often change the position of my fabric. Like Drea, Ive never had a problem with Q-Snaps crushing my work...but sometimes if Im worried (because Im using a finer fabric, etc.), I use small strips of plain white flannelette to help protect the areas directly underneath the clamps. It just makes me feel better.:) Thanks, I think I will use a protecting cloth just in case :) I have cut pieces of felt to put between the fabric and the clip on pieces and have never had a problem. I think Q Snaps are great and have used them for an afghan and even when I leave them on my work for a few weeks they never leave a mark. Just move it without pulling the fabric too tight, however, I prefer stretcher bars, you just roll them. There is chance to damage stitches.
