The cowl is worked in round, starting with a regular or provisional two colour braided cast on, switching to two colour briohe, ending with a two-colour braided cast off. The result is fully reversible, providing a beautiful graphical look and beautifully showing off the main colour on both sides.
If substituting yarn, it is advisable to choose similar yarn: aran / bulky weight but also very airy and light, to achieve the pictured results.
The pattern is written for aran weight yarn, but is easily adjustable for different yarn weights.
Circumference 26.8” (67 cm),
length 13” (33 cm) after blocking, unstretched.
Suggested needles US 8 (5mm)
Gauge 12 sts and 17 rows = 4x4” / 10x10 cm in brioche pattern
