Im crocheting my first temperature blanket.Has anyone made one?

I just ordered my yarn to start my first one! My daughter mentioned it and wanted to do one. So we are both making one with slightly different color list.

I really want to do this BUT i dont think my country has enough temperature variations for the difference to matter... i live right at the equatorial line lol
