Telly during yarn work

I listen to audio only when I am doing yarn work. Can you really concentrate at yarn work while watching the telly? People say they can but its hard to believe them. I have tried. It does not work. XD

I can do lacework even while watching a movie with subtitles.....crazy right! But then I also practice my danish while knitting in front of the telly. I make all sorts of mistakes if I dont watch anything. I cant concentrate if its too quiet!

I crochet my amigurumi while watching netflix, sometimes I pause the movie if I need to count

Listening to audio helps to concentrate. Telly results in frogging or tinking.

I can only "watch" tv if I am working on a granny square blanket. For other works, I need silence or some music on a very low level volume.
Lucky those who can knit complicated things and follow a tv show at the same time. :O)
