WIPS -How Many Do You Have?
I currently have about 8 WIPS (Works In Progress) with about 3 of them being quite large. I am always interested in how many cross stitch projects everyone else has going on? How many do you have? 10 will probably be my max, but its because it takes some time for me to find the flosses and fabrics (unless its purchased as a kit). How many projects do you currently have? Do you try to limit the number of WIPs or just start a project whenever the urge for something new and fresh strikes?Pictured Below: Small start on a HAED on 25 count easy grid lugana - one over one full cross
Im afraid to count, and it would be hard to locate all of them I havent seen for a few months (or years). I have about a dozen stuffed into two bags I grab when Im going somewhere where I will have time to work on something. I try not to have too many. I am working on a massive Stoney Creek and some plastic canvas bits for a scrapbooking friend. I found one WIP I started in 1999. I was lost in a move and just resurfaced. I am shattered. Ill never finish it. I have noticed with many of the Dimensions stitches my friend has asked me to do for her the floss colours are wrong or just off colour if that makes sense. I am using the Dim numbers provided in each stitch too. The dye lots have changed so much since 1999 there will be no colour matching this one. And this is why I try to finish one before I start another. Or maybe moving forward make sure to "kit" things up with enough colours to finish it. ;P Very nice! That’s a great recommendation about kitting up fully before moving on. The plastic canvas sounds intriguing, I was thinking about finding a small project to try out on it as I haven’t used it before. Yes, I go back and forth between wanting to finish one project before starting another and kitting up something new. Is something is impossible to put down, I normally keep going until it’s done.
