teach a 10 year old how to begin
I want to teach my daughter to stitch.but what pattern should I use for her. Start with something LIKEa color page/pic.And def something your kiddo would like to work on I would suggest a stamped cross stitch kit to start that way not too much to learn and she can enjoy her work. Some magazines have a special section just for kids, they are usually quite simple Anything is fine, but I would suggest letting her pick so she wants to work on it give her try out the simple cartoon / flowers pattern. all the best a kit probably is better because everything's already there :) I started my kids on small kits with 11 count aida Following this thread keep it simple, not too many colours and fairly small to begin with, find a cross stitch card making magazine, they're usually small and brightly coloured :) My mom started me with a small kit, i think it made it easier for me to start off because everything was in the kit so i didn't have to worry about not having any of the stuff i needed. Let the HER choose a small kit, something that interest her will be best in the long run. A small easy kit is the way to go. Let her choose something that interests her... You can guide her as she progresses... My daughter starts with a little butterfly Pattern and sew it on a bag There are lots of small, inexpensive kits out there.I agree with having her choose something simple and letting her go at it!Good luck to her! The first project my daughter stitched was a stamped baby bib kit for her newborn cousin. She was so proud when she saw the baby in it! Tambien mi hija hizo un babero por primera vez, aunque se tardo una eternidad ;P when i was young my mom gave a a small kit
