How do you store all the patterns you have???
Basically what the title says :)I have my patterns in a folder but I like to be able to see the pictures of the pattern to decide which one to do next. So was looking for inspiration from others who might like the same :) Thank you in advance for any replies and help :) The responses here are making me think I need to take the time to organize my patterns better. I use google drive. You canstore a picture withthe same name as the pattern next tot each other. You canalso use a extern harddisk or USB stick for storing picture and pattern together.
I sort mine by type of craft; then I sort by designer or type.Eg CROCHET ALL, is my folder and within that I would have Amigurumi, Socks, Slippers etc. For magazines I have them by MAGAZINE NAME in the root and then make folders
within like MAGAZINE LETS KNIT,and within that folder I would have the years of the mags, then that folder would contain the actual magazines for that year.
I put them on a extern hard disc and sort them as CraftyLouAnne I use google drive and have folders for different designers (if there are more then two of the same designer). I also i change the name of the file by adding a number: 1 stands for cables, 2 for colourwork, 3 for intarsia etc. static/image/common/user_online.gif jenlery static/image/common/clock.gif 2022-1-26 18:00

I have a folder for all my crochet patterns and a folder for each type of craft (e.g. amigurumi, dollies, etc.). I also change the name of the files to "Designer name - Pattern name". To see the photos, which I also like, I sort the folders to see them as icons. Also I print the patterns that I finally use and add notes there, e.g. crochet hook size, final size of the amigurumi, any changes I made, etc.
I was also thinking in sorting the amigurumi patterns by motive (e.g. bunnies, deers, lions, dolls, etc.), but Im not sure yet.
Hope it helps! :) Thank you all for sharing, tho for some reason I never got the notifications. I will definitely use some of the ideas from here. Thanks again to everyone who commented :)
I search in my map, and put my documents on computer with a preview window, so every thing I click on I see a preview picture...
So if I search for "Easter" I can see every picture from every pattern ;-)
