Hand pain from crochet

Does anybody else deal with hand numbness from crochet with a tiny hook?
It has been getting pretty bad as of late, and i dont want to choose between quitting and early arthitis ;P

Yes, I just try not to do too much in one go and rest if I need to. Have a Google for repetitive strain injury/rsi.

Look up stretches for carpal tunnel and make sure you take regular breaks. You can also try some ergonomic hooks or get a chunky boy to put it over your hook.

I usually take a day or two of rest when my hand start to hurt me, I crochet a lot so its a must for me to rest a day or two otherwise it will increase.

I agree with all comments. We need to take breaks and do some stretches for the hands/arms/back/neck
..... Also a few days of rest if necessary.

We love creating art, but our health is also very important. If you start having pain, stop and rest as much as needed. :)

I hope your pain stops soon and you feel better.
