What techniques intimidate you?

Ok, lets talk about scary crafting techniques
I was for a very long time intimidated by knitting. I came into the crafting world as a complete ZERO. I learnt to crochet. Then attempted knitting after a couple of years and after an encouragement that if you can knit and purl you can make it
Then I saw brioche (namely, Stephen West) and it looked so very difficult and I just marveled at the makes and designs. I looked through a number of Stephens designs before I tried a simple one (a flat knit brioche hat - pattern available here). Then I tried one of his briogarters. And Im a goner :) I loooove brioche! I live how its magically turns the fabric into intricate maze.
Please share what scares you :) Im genuinely curious

Entrelac knitting. I love how it looks, but the tutorials I have found have made me put down my needles. One day I will give it another try, but that day is not today.

Just the size of a Heaven and Earth Design for cross stitch scares me. I started one once and only got two out of something like 60 pages of the graph pattern. I admire anyone who can knit. I have only done socks on a knitting loom. I tend to drop stitches if I dont have something to hold them for me.

Shuttle tatting.Needle tatting you can frog and try again.Shuttle is cut or trash.Sniff.Shuttle tatting gives those tight neat stitches, but not for a novice. Too intimidating.
