People who love to sew clothes, where are you?
I joined here hoping to meet more people who sew and collect sewing patterns like me, but its kind of disappointing that most patterns here are for crochet and knitting. Now, I am hesitant to share the sewing patterns I have. If you love to sew clothes and bags, please comment on this thread or send me a DM. For every person I meet who sews clothes here, I promise to add a random sewing pattern on this site.
As promised, I added more patterns to this site. Hope you guys enjoy them! Hi! Im a sewist! Im currently in the middle of a fairly tailored knee-length coat! I totally agree with you, theres lots of crochet and knitting. While I have added a lot of patterns to my collection, I dont often see very many new ones posted.
I use to make a lot of clothes for my children when they were young. But, GEEZ fabric and stuff has got so high its often cheaper to just buy an outfit with all the money and time it would cost to make one. I do still love making purses, dolls, craft items and quilted items like table runners, toppers and wall quilts.. I dont sew, but my mom is going to teach me. Id love to be able to make bags, shirts, etc. I love to sew but I also love knitting and crocheting. Its all in what mood Im in.And of course, what I can afford at the moment.LOLIve always loved sewing for my girls when they were little, and when Im in the mood, Ill sew a bunch of pajamas for the family. I think there arent as many sewing patterns around because you have to break up full size ones into multiple 8.5" x 11" pages. Its a shame really. Doll patterns are a bit easier as you can take a picture and then resize as needed. Hi! I dont sew clothes but I sew plushies and collect sewing patterns from many things to learn more from them. I agree with you, all around here is most for crochet and knitting lovers, but at least there are some sewing patterns around and I found some interesting dolls and plushies that I really wanted to have in my patterns collection. I used to sew, and design patterns but the cost of fabric has gone way up. I wear a small size and can find clothes off the rack so Im not saving anything. I knit more than sew and even then. Everything has gone up so much that Ill have to cut down on knitting too. :-( Edited by stockingstitch at 2023-10-12 20:15
I sew once in a while for gifts, nothing too complicated. I used to sew for costumes because I have a daughter who loves to act in plays. The last thing I sewed was father and son pajamas for my grandson and his dad. Christmas presents.
What I do love is customizing clothing and bags with cross stitch designs. Its a lot more fun than trying to frame everything.
