Drops alpaca/alpaca yarn. Pattern ideas/tips?

I am looking for tips. I have about 8 (or 6) skains of drops alpaca in white and I have no clue what to knit with it. I normaly knit with classic sheeps wool and now i am at a loss. It was a gift and I really dont want to waste it. Any suggestions?

This yarn has wonderful drape (and sheds like crazy LOL).
I knit a long Joji cardigan, and Im so happy with it!

You can go to ravelry, search for this yarn "Drops alpaca" and click on projects.
Go to advanced search, sort by "most favorites", you have millions of ideas:
ravelry.com/projects/search#yarn-link=garnstudio-drops-alpaca

This is what I do whenever I am out of inspo for the yarn ;)

Good luck!

What do you normally like to knit? If you make and wear a lot of sweaters, make a sweater. If you enjoy wearing hats, make a hat. You want to be sure you will actually use it to find out if you like the fiber. I also like the suggestion of a cardigan, because if you find the fiber to be too hot, you can open the cardigan and get some air! Im sure youll come up with something great!

Alpaca is a lovely fibre.A lot warmer than wool.If you are worried about your body reacting to the alpaca, knit a small swatch, wash and block it, then pin it to your cloths next to your skin to test out how you react to it.If its too itchy next to your skin, then maybe a cardigan, so you can layer. If its all good, then a sweater that you can wear to keep you warm.Like pitussa suggested, ravelry is a great resource to search on yarn, or you can also search by gauge from your swatch.Have fun.Alpaca is such a lovely gift.

I usually knit sweaters but im a little afraid of the "lack of memory". If I make something drapier that might solve the problem.   :)
