Oh, making your own crochet hook grips? Now that’s a brilliant way to add a little extra comfort—and personality—to your hooks! A simple and cozy method is to use some soft polymer clay: just roll a little piece around the handle of your hook, shape it to fit your fingers nicely, and pop it in the oven to bake. Voilà, a custom grip that’s comfy and won’t slip, even if your hands get a bit sweaty (because who doesn’t?).If clay’s not your thing, you can also wrap your hook handles with a bit of craft foam or even layers of fabric or yarn, securing them with a dab of glue or some neat stitching. It’s like giving your hook a little sweater to keep it warm and cozy. Plus, making your own grips means you can choose your favorite colors or even add some fun texture—perfect for those long crochet sessions when your hands need a little extra TLC. Give it a whirl; your hands will thank you!
These are lovely! I like the blue pool-noodle type covers from Susan Bates, although they are very old so hard to find nowadays!
I made a hole in a beauty blender to use as an ergonomic crochet hook cover, worked really well These are looking good! THANK YOU VERY MUCH This is so cool! So beautiful Very nice :) Nice, but are they actually comfortable to hold in the hand? I made a couple of those ergonomic handles using kind of a dough static/image/common/user_online.gif mazurk1987 static/image/common/clock.gif 2024-3-9 00:34
