Hello! New on this website and getting back at crochet

Hi, everyone!
Im new to this site. To be honest, its difficult to navigate but Im kinda getting the hang of it ^^,

I joined because Im trying to get back at crochet. Learned a bit of the basics at school, so technically still a beginner struggling with most intermediate patterns.

I do regret stopping for quite a time. I forgot how calm the process is and how fun it is to finish a project.

How about you? How long have you been crocheting? Would love to hear your thoughts. Good day and Happy Easter! :loveliness:

Hello!

Welcome around! The forum is a friendly place, full of helpful members. Should you need help, you will very certainly find someone willing to.
Ive been knitting for over 20 years and crocheting for 15 or so. Fiber arts are the only topic I enjoy challenges for.

Have a lovely day and happy easter! :-)

Ive been crocheting from when I was about 10 years old. I did an club where I learned how to crochet.
Then, maaaaaany years later. I found an amigurumi booklet and wanted to try it - long forgotten I ever crocheted at my 10th.

When I started crocheting (again - but didnt know ive ever crocheted) at age of 26 felt like I did it before, it felt like it was second nature. My mother explained later that I crocheted some before.
So that explained my second nature feeling when crocheting. It made me push trough the first time of exploring and struggling - but Ive become sooo much better in such a short time!
Just enjoy the process, make fun of your first project - but keep it. Because some day, youll find this first project - and then youll be proud youve started and pushed trough!

I found my first project (a snail.. ;)) at my mothers house - after we had to empty her house because she deceased about 2 years ago.
All this time she held on to my first crochet project. And I was so proud and emotional to see it again. Its now sitting on a special shelf!
