Originally printed in 1945, this apron and bib book contains over 30 authentic vintage pattern styles to sew and crochet. Complete instructions for making a heart apron, cocktail apron, tea apron, two working aprons, baby bath apron, apron to wear over an evening gown, apron to wear over slacks, two glamour aprons, a sewn knitters delight apron (with large pockets for holding yarn and other knitting accessories), and a restyling pattern for making an apron by reusing an old shirt are all included using trims such as black velvet ribbon, ruffles, rick rack, sateen, gingham, tasselled fringe, and crocheted edgings to accent your creations.Six waist aprons for "fair designs" are included with color, fabric and trim suggestions. Two mens aprons for gardening and cooking are supplied, with the gardening apron designed with pockets and tabs to hold gardening tools. Instructions for making 3 crocheted aprons and one bib are included as well as quick-make instructions for a head wrap and pot holder. Childrens items include an activity apron (with pockets to hold crayons, toys and puzzles), girls play nurse apron, cleaning house apron and tea serving apron with adorable vintage teapot, elephant, dustpan and broom appliques to decorate each apron. Appliques are also provided for six 1940s baby bibs adorned with flowers, clown, cow jumping over moon, peter bunny with carrots and story book house. Instructions and diagrams are provided for all projects with details for enlarging diagrams where needed. Sample pattern and book images are shown at the top of this page.
