I am unable to change my email address and verify it. I am not receiving any verification email. Why? Kindly fix this please.

I ran into the same problem yesterday and found a solution. I'm sure it's mentioned and explained (better) before from the mods/admins, but I wanted to mention it here, just to make sure.
Go to 'Settings' on top of the page.
In Settings click on 'Mail notifier' on the left side of your screen.
Check the box 'Verification notices' at 'System alerts'.
Chose 'Send in real-time' and 'save'.
Now change your email once again and you should receive the verification mail right away. At least that's how it worked for me.
I want to mention that it was only necessary to do so for a CHANGE of email adress. I didn't do/had to do that when I was verifying my first email adress for the registration.
Sorry for the crappy explanation, I wanted to add screenshots, but my mac is giving me a hard time today, for whatever reason.
