what is your favorite summer fiber

Hi,

I live in a very hot climate and I wonder what is everyones favorite summer fiber blend? Personally I cannot stand any wool living in 40 degree heat!

Hi. I prefer to use cotton regardless of the climate.

Hi :) I really like to crochet summer tops, so Id recommend: cotton, linen blends and bamboo blends. The first is really versatile, you can find different thickness for different results; I find linen a bit coarse to work with, but if blended with little cotton it gets quite breathable and smoother; the bamboo blends are really nice in my opinion, smooth and silky but maybe a little bit on the heavier side.
I only work with natural/semi natural fibers by choice, I decided early on that Id rather do less pieces (natural fibers are obviously more expensive) and shop locally, but to each their own :)
Hope you find something nice for your summer pieces!

I like linen, Cotton is weird to worth with because it doesnt stretch.

Hi thank you for your thoughtful response :) personally I find my cotton pieces a bit heavy which is a shame because the material is the only accessible natural fiber where I live. I’ve also tried 100% silk which is very comfortable although an investment as you said. Any blends with wool have made pieces that are super itchy in 30+ degrees

Im not a fan of summer fibers especially linen, that thing is driving me crazy... Id rather knit with wool in AC room HAHA.
