Help with yarn that releases fluff

Hi... I made an amigurumi durian. The outer part is made of non-mercerised cotton yarn, which is releasing fluff that sticks to other parts of the amigurumi (these are made from a different type of yarn). Does someone know a remedy that makes it stop releasing fluff?

I read about putting it in the freezer, thats where the durian is now... but maybe someone comes up with another solution.

Thanks for your help!

Hello, Ill try to help but Im not quite sure how to prevent it from happening.
Id suggest to: wash your creation, the water and detergent will help the stitches to come together more steadily.
Shave the part that sheds with a razor (but it will happen again as soon as it rubs against something else). You can try to wet the cotton with a mixture of water and vinyl glue (in my country its called Vinavil): once dried, it will create a thin layer of protection (Vinavil dries trasparent even if its white), but use this method only if no child will play with it/place it in their mouths.
I hope that helps or someone comments with better tips; anyway, best luck :)

I usually burn the outside with a candle to get rid of the fuzz, but you have to be careful as it can cause it to light on fire

I have trouble with fuzzy yarn myself. I just kinda have to pick it all off as I go.
