As always Agnes has written a gorgeous pattern. Well written and clear, easy to follow. The result is more than beautiful. I would recommend this as your first lace shawl as the body of the shawl is not in lace, and the lace part has a simple, repeated pattern with not too long repeats.Great pattern to knit. There are small sections with lace, but there is also enough plain knitting so that you can also knit and relax as the shawl grows.Pattern is well written and lots of places to check how many stitches you should have. Good for both an advanced beginner and more experienced knitter. This is a very good pattern for someone interested in learning increases, decreases and more basic lace. The pattern is very easy to follow and is a good one to learn new techniques. Beginners and advance knitters alike will create a beautiful shawl.Another beautiful shawl. Pattern easy to follow but not boring with variety of stitch patterns to keep you interested and wanting to just keep knitting.Keep those markers handy and all will be well! I only had 16 so I only used 12 - 24 would make things easier. This is a lovely pattern, with an interesting shape and textures.Gorgeous, balanced pattern with intriguing complexity and a lot of speed! Fun to knit!I enjoyed making this shawl but I found using stitch markers and life lines essential. The stitch markers on a couple of the rows (where the section starts or ends with a yarn over) must be carefully watched otherwise the count appears to be wrong. I loved the use of the yardage at the end of each section especially as my yarn was slightly shorter in length than specified and it all worked out perfectly.I’d like to make another in a lighter weight yarn and make a few extra pattern repeats which is covered by the pattern easily making this a very versatile pattern.

Mod Note: The description contains various comments submitted to the designer by test knitters for this shawl.
