I wondered why I'd lost so many coins.I did download some large chargesstuff the other day but l was down about 9000 coins after that and checking iBooks every now and then as I always do when I download.
That's really bad.Why re-add iBooks if this happens.It's not like the coins do anything for the site except stop people having the coins to download.Plus I saw absolutely nothing to tell me this was going to happen when I clicked on it on my phone.
I've looked now just a couple of pages of points log and I've lost 199 coins repeatedly for this update I knew nothing about.I've also got some credit for the update except the debit are 199 each and the credits are 1 each.That's really not a reimbursement.
Did I miss an announcement that this was going to happen because if so then that's on me , but if not it's really poor practice.I mean I've got enough coins to swallow the loss but lots of people won't have.Very unfair to do this unless you make a banner announcement site wide about it.
I am glad I checked this Thread and learned something new. Totally agree with diystuff, the mods should have made an announcement to educate us that all those downloaded files we purchased with our gold coins, are in fact borrowed with a 1 year lease!

I used iBooks to check if I previously downloaded.If I did it does not appear at the top of downloadsand I don't post thanks again on the thread which I have been reprimanded for doing mistakenly in the past.With my internet connection and the fact that the site doesn't have a mobile mode it's just too cumbersome to check every page of every thread to try and find a previous post.
Obviously I won't be doing this in future at 199 coins a time.Pretty appalling decision to implement with no announcements I think.
I'm happy you can see your downloads on your pc but I have too many charts acquired in the past 30 years from all over including my own digitised files for them all to be instantly findable and recognisable.So I download something because I like it and can't remember if I downloaded before.Hence checking iBooks. Please note. In ibooks, each pattern will say "Delete" at the top. Below "click FREE update date". FREE!I clicked on it and indeed the update is happening and it's free. Then what's the point of a blue button that offers an update for GC if I can do it for free? You guessed it. In order to automatically update the time of all records. Because of the design flaws of iBooks, we have to set an expiration time for each download record. If a download record has not been updated for more than 365 days, it will be deleted, so that the database will not grow infinitely. As for the charge, Pindiy needs to let everyone spend more gold coins. Haha Since I have been here, like forever,and downloaded so many patterns my IBooks amount is 7500 GC to update!

Please look at the screenshot, does this mean I will be charged 41774 GC 3 times?????

Gosh. This is new. But I don't understand the problem.If you've already downloaded it, it's just a record of a pattern you have.I've just gone through my ibooks and deleted all those patterns I've already stitched and the gcs to update was reduced.My downloaded files are safe on my hard drives. Wow, amazing info here. Thank you for the heads up.
