How to request a pattern

Edited by anniekins at 2025-1-11 19:03

I'm looking for a knitting pattern

Does anyone have it? Is there somewhere to request a copy?

By the way, I already asked about this in groups. They say that it is advisable to offer as much as possible. So that there is an incentive to upload the pattern. Because some "bounty" hang for a year or longer and no one responds. I wanted to offer 2,500 GC. This is an amigurumi pattern, almost new, only appeared in 2024. But I haven't decided yet.

Thank you for the advice

Note - it seems you can't open a bounty until you have 500 or more credit ...
You don't need 500 credits. You need 500 or more gold coins. These are different things. And it's easy to collect coins. Complete tasks. For just one task to confirm your email, they give you 999 coins.
And say “thank you” wherever you can.The more "thank you" - the more coins. Good luck and enjoy.

Setting a higher reward will increase the chance for people to provide the requested pattern.
Though it's always just a bet.

Keep in mind that should you purchase the pattern (offsite) at some point, uploading it to the forum will only get you a fraction of your GC back (you cannot cancel a bounty, and when you get the reward, PinDiy keeps a commission of it - so you only get your rewards back minus the site commission).

I see that the minimum bounty reward is 500 gold coins, but is it better to offer more? Does it depend on how rare or expensive the pattern is to find? I wanted to open a bounty too, but wasn't sure how much of a reward is suitable to give.

OK. Thanks for this. It's taking a little time to figure out how this site works.
