Definitely a very flawed work in progress but so excited that I've finally learned how to knit and making my first wearable!Cloud Sweater by Petite Knit

looks amazing! I’m part way through my first sweater and chose the Step By Step Sweater so i could...

That one is next on my list! Good to know it's a good beginner choice :)

As a beginner (only 1 month of experience LOL) there was definitely some learning moments as it is ...

I keep skipping any patterns with short rows but it really does seem like they'll be unavoidable. I think I should go from your example and just go for it as a learning experience instead of being worried about perfect fit, perfect stitches, etc...and maybe this year shall be the year I conquer the knit sweater! :)

If you don't mind sharing some of the links - always useful to find good clear videos that actually help.

ooo its coming out so good!! what yarn did u use?

I used a mohair from my stash and lion brand heartland, but I think it may have been slightly over the gauge haha. I didn’t swatch even though I KNOWWW I’m supposed to heh. Just using this as a learning experience honestly and I’m going to love it and think it’s cozy no matter how it turns out.

I really want to learn how to knit garments this year - how was this pattern for you? Easy to follow ...

As a beginner (only 1 month of experience LOL) there was definitely some learning moments as it is the stockinette stitch and I was twisting my stitches for a while, but I think it taught me a lot of the basics of knitting and I feel so confident now. The only difficult areas for me were the ribbing on the neck and learning short rows as a brand new knitter hahah. Happy to send the videos I watched if you have trouble while attempting :) (At least to show what helped me even though I’m not a very good mentor)

I really want to learn how to knit garments this year - how was this pattern for you? Easy to follow? Clear instructions? I do need a fair bit of handholding otherwise my mind wanders and I make silly mistakes...
