Title image for the pattern.

Edited by anniekins at 2025-4-5 20:10

Some pictures don't want to be displayed correctly on the site. They load normally, look normal on a separate pattern page, but in the general list - white squares. I see the moderators fix this by simply swapping the pictures. But what is the problem? What images should not be loaded to avoid this phenomenon?

Also webp picture don't work on the site.
You first have to convert them into jpg format.

Some members don't use the image button as shown on the screenshot.

I think they use copy past.
Or no image at all.
If they use copy past, we have to download the picture and upload it the right way.

Thanks for the answer. But the thing is that I had the same problem. I "downloaded" the image, not copied it. And I uploaded it using the "image" button. But I got a "white square" several times. I tried to fix it. I downloaded it the same way as the first time from another site and edited my post. Everything is fine. No white square. But I still don't understand why the second image was displayed correctly, but the first one wasn't.

I'm fairly new to the site, but I read another post which recommended all members to upload an image to the Image section, rather than just the pattern itself. While the first page of the pdf will show up once the pattern is clicked on, the greyish square will be all people see in the main page displayed with other people's patterns. Personally, I find it extremely annoying when people do this and I always try to remember to add the image. All you have to do is save a screenshot and upload it manually.
