Is it ok to use DMC Perle #3 floss for cording?

Edited by anniekins at 2025-5-16 13:08

In cross stitch, there are projects that require a cording stitch. I do know how to make cording but I don't like twisting. The result is often uneven and tucky.

So I was wondering if somebody used DMC Perle #3 floss to imitate cording?

I've never used Perle to make cording, I just use normal DMC or Anchor thread and use more strands to make thicker cord.I use a hand drill from a DIY store with a hook on the end, and have never had problems with cord going wrong.

Thank you for answering! Hand drill with a hook - sounds interesting. I gotta check one of my hardware stores!
