How do you manage not to get overwhelmed with so many beautiful patterns on this site that you would like to make?
Edited by anniekins at 2025-6-17 21:55Hello!
I really try... but there are so many crafts I'd like to do, or learn how to do...
Are you really not overwhelmed? I feel like I'd need another lifetime or two to make all the wonderful patterns shared on this site...
A huge thank you to all the site members who make it possible to make any craft you can think of. Here's how to do it!
And on top of that, with friends who share your hobby.!!
Have a nice week!!:)

Oh yes! Other people's collections can be really helpful sometimes to stumble upon patterns that don't show up on the search too! I've found a couple of gems that way! hahaha
Hi, I was like that in january when I joined this site, wow and wow !fast and everything to download lol
I didn’t waste time to read rules and just when someone else rated me or sent a greeting I discovered that is fun and nice as well!
I have to tell you that I even downloaded some crochet patterns but I don’t crochet lol and I don’t have time for everything I want....
have a good evening! Have a nice week too mbptrda!I download way more than I will ever get round to doing. But I am a squirrel and someday something will be useful. Ohh, this does happen to me too! I think we all want to live life to the fullest; and wow! The patterns here are lovely.
There are a few things I do to not get overwhelmed with my crafts. First, I save patterns on collections like Cxex mentioned. I also try to only download patterns I know will fit me or that are my style. I don't care much about skill level. I've found that if you can practice the techniques used beforehand, there's virtually nothing you can't execute. Not to mention, for every technique there are a few substitutes out there. Yay for fiber arts!
I organize and plan accordingly too, and only allow myself one project at a time. You can actually get a lot done if you set mini deadlines! So long as you aren't stressing yourself out, of course. This is a hobby after all :)
Also, coming here for me is 90% of the time just chatting along with people XD Everyone is so lovely! And have the most interesting tidbits and insights too. Mrrt08 replied at 2025-6-21 23:22

Hhahaah I can relate to wanting to download everything I see... But I guess that's what collections are for! You can save the patterns in a collection and download them whenever you are ready to actually make the thing! :)

Yes that's what I've started to do! I love following along others collections too! I have mostly everything I want to download in my favorites and then delete once I've downloaded! This site is a god send for sure
Choose what you like a lot and has something special. There are many patterns very similar or that you can make your own without a pattern, Buy that one that maybe will be difficult for you to amke by yourself. That is what i do. Same here. I put everything in a collection and eventually, when I look for a new project, I will try and pick one. Is getting PIN easy for everyone? I find I’m struggling to have enough to download all the great patterns on here
I get really picky with what I knit lol I feel the same! I accidently clicked onto Other Hand works which I should not have!! Opened another world of ohhhs and ahhhs lol
