What do you watch or listen to while you craft?

Hi! I just joined and I'm really excited to get chatting to people. I've just finished watching Only Murders in the Building while I've been working on my cross stitch. What do other people watch or listen to when they are crafting? I'm always on the look out for more things to have on in the background. I think part of it is finding a balance between something interesting to watch but not too distracting. I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks as well - just finished one that was about what would happen if the moon turned to cheese which was a very funny read.

I’m currently watching the Pokémon anime while I crochet some Pokémon amigurumi. Generally I like things that aren’t too challenging to follow: police procedurals, medical dramas, Mystery Science Theater 3000.

I enjoy listening to audiobook and watching a series or odd film on my tablet.
I have everything I need in front of me, my phone for my chart as I love working XSDs from SAGA, my tablet on a stand for watching things and/or have music playing.

I wear headphone a lot as sometimes I can't sleep so stitch well I to the night, and don't want to disturb my neighbours having the bigbTV on, so that is rarely on.

I love all kinds of music,.depends what I'm in the mood for I suppose and I watch true crime on the tablet or a nature documentary.

Audiobooks are mainly fiction, crime/police procedural ones, or thrillers, though I do love a good ghost story too!

I tend to get distracted when the big TV is on a d find I'm.more absorbed in what's on than with stitching, but I find I can concentrate more when I just use the tablet.
Anything I put on is mainly for background noise than anything else.
I also play games with Alexa if I'm.in the mood.
Riddles,.Question of the Day, or an adventure story where you have to choose your own path. Those are fun and pass the time througha stitchy session quickly.

I've recently finished Pantheon, a little science fiction series. I like watching animations that keep my brain interested as I mostly knit clothes, which, unless you're working with a chart or colorwork, is very repetitive and can be... boring, in a very peaceful and enjoyable way! But still, boring. So adding a series that I can watch and think about while I work on my stockinette stitch is perfect. Also, since I work in science, it's fun!

If I am, however, working on something where I have to concentrate, I put on some cookalongs, knitalongs, you get the gist. It makes me feel accompanied and entertained enough to enjoy the work. So far, my absolute favorite has been Cooking with Babish. He makes delicious food!

I haven't seen either of those, but I am going to put How I Met Your Mother on my to watch list. i've heard loads of good things about it and it seems so good to craft to - nice and easy. Same as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I like true crime, but only during the day haha. Netflix has really good true crime stuff though - it's been a while since i've looked through it. Thanks for the suggestions!

Usually True Crime on streaming platforms.
Or knitting podcasts on YT

YT has so much crafty stuff to watch. I haven't watched any knitting stuff for a while - it's been ages since I've knitted anything. but there is so much stuff on flosstube! I'll have to explore some knitting podcasts too and see if it inspires me to start knitting again

I can't watch anything while stitching. Just to look up occasionally, really. That's why documentaries on Youtube and/or Flosstube are my favorites.

When I x-stitch I usually "watch" a streaming show. More like listening with a few glances up here and there

I watch tv shows that I’ve watched before and love. That way I know what’s happening without having to watch closely.
