Edited by anniekins at 2025-8-20 12:24I am not complaining, I've only recently joined and still finding my way around.
I am finding that gaining pin is very hard.
There is only hourly bonus left in my tasks now and the pin you gain when posting.
Which would be okay, but price of some patterns are quite high.
I expected 10 or 20 in forumcurrency but some are asked for 100, 200 and some even more.
Surely it would be better to put a cap on how much patterns can be "sold" for to actually make it possible to download them.
This is supposed to be a sharing forum, so why not share them reasonably?
If we all keep our "prices" down, all patterns will be more available to everyone and in turn more people will "buy" them, which will increase your own purse.
I'm not being horrible or to cause trouble, it just seems that everyone would be better off if prices are reduced and no more than 30 pin or whatever per design?
It is just a question, I mean no offense to anyone, I just think we should stick together and help each other and not be greedy.
Or what's the point of sharing in the first place?
I have friends on other places that share simply becuase they no how much things cost these days in the real world and how tight real money can be, so we help each other out.
Can't we here unify and offer each other support by reducing the amount of pin you place on patterns.
I've seen full books uploaded that charge less than just a single pattern.
I just feel that we should be helping each other out through kindness and not greed.
Forgive me, but I had to speak up. I hope I haven't upset anyone, but I do feel, as a sharing website, we can do better for each other.
God bless everyone.
I was reading a post by Turquoise on the forum bulletin board that depending on DIY level, you can only charge a set amount of pin.
Does that not apply here then anymore?
Or have I read the post completely wrong?
Also, wouldn't it be better to have all the announcements and tutorials over on the forum bulletin board, instead of it cluttering up everywhere else?
Just a suggestion of course, but all those posts makes navigation complicated andlooks messy.
It's just my opinion, of course. I don't be mean and criticism.
I can't spend hours on a website DiyStuff, I'd lose my mind endlessly saying Thank yous all the time.
I haven't seen much correspondence from many members other than replies of thank yous flooding every post!
Is that all we say here, lmao!
It's not a community here, not like craftbubble 2.5 is. Now that is a community and we all love each other there. If you haven't been on the forum for a few days, the admin there sends an email to check in on you, asks if you're okay.
When I wasn't online for a week due to illness, the admin there sent me a get well card and a beautiful handmade vase with a lovely display of paper flowers. It must have took her hours to make and the card said "Just to make you smile".
How sweet was that, she made me cry.
That is a community leader. Here is so much different.
None of the admins have sent a welcome or hello, where you'd think they would be more inviting, considering there wouldn't be a forum without any members.
I am not trying to cause trouble, I'm just voicing my thoughts.
I feel this place lacks the community spirit. Some members have been really nice to me and are friends with some of you, which is lovely and I am grateful of that.
It just seems people here aren't as open as on the forum I come from. Which I think is really sad. ?
Perhaps that's just the way it is here. And perhaps you all like it that way..I was just putting my thoughts into words.and I hope it hasn't offended anyone.
Take care everyone and God bless.
This is a good website, and I'm liking my time here.
I mean no offense to member or admin.
I can learn how to make more pin through the loverly people who have given me advice, but I think maybe I not explain correctly.
It's about the price of things. We're all here to share and help each other out yet people are putting a lot of pin on the patterns they are sharing.
I see a lot of complaints about this around in my short time here and it seems I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
It would make everyone more happier and relaxed in the forum.
Surely that is how a community should be, somewhere you can go and relax, not raid the posts trying to gain more pin,.battling to get the patterns they would like.
I am.just sharing my thoughts, there is no criticism in my post or ill will,.I just think members would want to help others.

Check if you have some tasks in the Awaiting tasks where you need to colect them to receive reward and that the time for a new application can we put in the tasks.
If you make a comment for instance under my reply (see below my post left corner) where you click and write a comment. Since you are level 0 you probably don't have the comment buttom available (it will be available on level 1).
If you go to the diary sections (crochet, kniting, sewing...) you can reply to the different posts regarding their work. Make sure that you keep track of the posts where you already made a reply so you don't ger a negative rate by moderators. Hi friend :) Yes, I agree. Some people charge wayyy too much for simple patterns that make tiny works. :( That's why the patterns I've shared are usually as little a price as I can put. For now, keep doing the bonus and painting fairy! I promise you'll soon be swimming in pin! You can also make a collection, which saves the pattern for you in case you ever feel like downloading it. I for example save books mostly, and sewing patterns, as I don't like to download them just to forget they exist after. I think that it is a good system. It encourages interaction in the site and forums and groups. If not people would just take what they wanted and not participate.
You can also get more coin by using the groupsand also the Pinebk (tab at the top) it is another forum for all types of chatting and some games that all earn coin.
It takes a bit of time and effort but eventually you will have a excess of coin and can then share via red envelopes. I get what you're saying Anon, but I think the root of the problem is exactly the fact that it's easy to earn pin the more you interact. There's an excess of capital, so people price things higher to find balance. It's how inflationand the market works, in a way, specially since there is no fixed amount of pin. Though, that's also an advantage, as the amount of money you have depends solely on you! Trust the process! Edited by diystuff at 2025-8-23 20:35
You've only been on this site for a total of six hours according to your page. You just have to spend time interacting and everything mounts up.I've been online here over 1000 hours and it feels like no effort at all. It's nice here if you drop in daily to do tasks and rate someone etc. Anonymous_1 replied at 2025-8-23 17:06

I’ve enjoyed the site so far but I’m also still trying to figure it out. I registered years ago and forgot about it so I’m back and having fun.
