Current WIP
I'm working on a sweet little cross stitch piece that’s coming along slowly but surely—emphasis on slowly, because someone (me) keeps miscounting while watching reruns of Murder, She Wrote. It's a floral motif with soft pink peonies and little trailing vines in sage green, stitched on cream-colored aida cloth. The center is forming a heart shape, and once finished, it’ll say “Home is where the snacks are”—a motto I fully stand by.Right now, it’s stretched in a wooden hoop, resting on the kitchen table among little piles of floss, a bent needle (because of course), and my very helpful, completely unasked-for assistant—our cat—who enjoys sitting directly on the pattern sheet. There’s a half-drunk cup of tea nearby, and I keep pretending I’ll finish this by the weekend. Lies. But it’s cute, and that’s what counts!
