Montmartre cross stitch
My new finish, Montmartre from DMC, designed by Anna Matvieieva. It was motivated by my recent trip to France. I wanted to stitch Paris but without its ever-present Eiffel Tower.Because I used the paper pattern and also did not have much free time on vacation, it took me almost a month to stitch this design.
I changed the 14 ct white Aida from the kit to 28 ct white linen. It gave an airy light look to the final product.
The kit contained unusually "skinny" skeins of DMC. I did not run of the floss while working on this project but it was a nuisance to deal with those skeins.
Also, the paper chart is too small, with the backstitch on top which was additional drawback as well as the legend printed on the same page.
In general, it was not hard to stitch. However, I would advise using a Saga pattern if you can.
