Edited by Anonymous at 2026-1-9 03:43General Information and Pattern Pieces: The S9456 pattern set includes 14 pieces: 1 — Front (A, B, C), 2 — Pocket (A, B), 3 — Back (A, B, C), 4 — Neckband (A), 5 — Sleeve (A, B, C), 6 — Sleeve Band (A, B, C), 7 — Hood (B, C), 8 — Front (D), 9 — Back (D), 10 — Pocket (D), 11 — Bootie Upper (E), 12 — Bootie (E), 13 — Patch (E), 14 — Sole (E). Hem and seam allowances are already included in the pattern pieces.General Instructions (Allgemeine Anweisungen):All seams are to be sewn with a 1.5 cm allowance unless otherwise stated. Before cutting, press the pattern pieces with a warm, dry iron. Mark your desired size on the multi-size pattern using a colored felt-tip pen. When cutting, follow the line corresponding to your European size. Washable fabrics should be laundered before use; non-washable fabrics should be steamed to prevent shrinkage. Place pattern pieces on the fabric parallel to the selvage (Fadenlauf) or exactly on the fold (Stoffbruch) as indicated in the cutting layout. Transfer all markings (notches and dots) to the wrong side of the fabric using tracing paper or chalk.Fabric Specific Sewing Tips:When sewing with knits, use special needles (Stretch/Ballpoint) and a narrow zigzag or elastic stitch. Fleece does not fray, so the inner seam edges can be left unfinished; use long pins with pearl heads so they do not get lost in the fabric nap. If you are using an overlocker/serger, remember that it sews and trims the fabric simultaneously, so be sure to check the fit of the garment before final processing.Cutting Layout (Zuschneideplan): The layout is designed for fabric with a width of 150 cm (60 inches). Pieces are laid out on fabric folded double with the right sides (Rechte Seite) together, or in a single layer (Einlagig), depending on the specific model and size. Pay attention to the nap or pattern direction (Mit Richtung), arranging the pieces so that the top of all parts faces the same direction.Sewing Steps (Example for Hoodie and Booties):Begin by attaching the pockets and sewing the shoulder seams. When sewing in the sleeves, match the control notches. Neckbands and sleeve bands are first sewn into a ring, folded double, and then sewn to the main pieces while stretching slightly. For the booties (Model E), join the upper part to the sole, matching the dots, and sew the lining while leaving an opening for turning. After turning, close the opening by hand or with a blind stitch and sew a casing on the outside to create a tunnel for the ties.
