What is the difference between Points and Credits

Hello all,

I am new to PinDIY, and I'm loving the environment. I have been referencing a couple forums here already, but I can't seem to find any help on the difference between Credits and Points. How do I get more credits? I have completed my tasks for the day - yay points! What about the credits so I can upgrade to a new level?

Credits are used to level up. By "points" do you mean Pins or credits? Pins are the monetary unit used to purchase patterns.

The equation that determines your credits is:
Total Credits = (Number of replies × 0.1) + (Number of Threads × 0.26) + (Number of Digests × 5) + (Hours of Online Time × 2.6)
This means the more time you spend on the site, the more interactive you are on the site, the more threads you upload, the more digests you upload, and the more replies you make--> the more credits you earn.

You get Pin from uploading patterns that other members buy and download. You also get 10 pin for every reply (per minute) = You can make a reply every 26 seconds, but will only earn 10 pin for one of them in 1 minutes time. You can make Pin from the tasks every hour, and also once a week there is a Painting Fairy task that will earn you Pin.

Thank you, that is very helpful! I've made a couple threads and comments already, but I'm not sure what a digest is or how to make one. I tried to make a post in my diary, but I think my level is too small.
