Materials[*]Worsted weight yarn in Color A (e.g. burgundy)
[*]Worsted weight yarn in Color B (e.g. mustard)
[*]5 mm straight needles (or size suitable for your yarn)
[*]Scissors
[*]Tapestry needle (optional, for weaving ends)
Cast OnCast on 40 stitches.Stitch Pattern: Stockinette StitchRow 1 (Right side): Knit all stitches
Row 2 (Wrong side): Purl all stitchesRepeat these two rows throughout.Color SectionsWork in stockinette stitch:
[*]Knit 20 cm in Color A
[*]Switch to Color B and knit 20 cm
[*]Switch back to Color A and knit 20 cm
[*]Continue alternating every 20 cm until desired length
(Or stop whenever you are happy with the length.)Bind OffBind off all stitches knitwise.Fringe (Optional)
[*]Cut strands twice the desired fringe length.
(For 12 cm fringe, cut 24 cm strands.)
[*]Use 2–3 strands per fringe.
[*]Fold in half and attach evenly along both ends.
[*]Alternate colors if desired.
