Every time you turn you need to DS to work your way back in order to avoid a hole. I’m going to edit the pattern to clarify this, Plus a few more things.

Both documents are version 1.
The note the poster wrote ("Every time you turn you need to DS to work your way back in order to avoid a hole. I’m going to edit the pattern to clarify this, Plus a few more things.") is not short row instructions. The DS (double stitch) has nothing to do with "working your way back" to avoid a hole. In order to avoid a hole when working short rows, the DS has to be knit as ONE stitch, not two stitches. If the DS isn't knit tightly together, there could be a hole.

The instructions in both documents are under "Special stitches" German Short Rows on page 4 (both documents). That is the only reference to knitting the DS and there is nothing about leaving holes in either document.

This is a duplicate. https://www.pindiy.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=684379&highlight=ronstadt
