Written pattern vs Video tutorial

I definitely prefer written patterns! I will say the step by step pattern by Florence Miller was great as a beginner in garment knitting though - i think videos definitely have their uses for visual learners Thank you very much I prefer written patterns for making the thing, and videos for learning a new technique.
Having videos for a pattern takes longer to watch and understand it, plus they disappear from the internet at any moment.
You can easily print out and store a written pattern. And sure you can store a video but that's harder.. I prefer written patterns, but if something is unclear, video tutorials can be really handy video tutorial isnt always great though I like video tutorials but I suppose it depends on the person making them written pattern for sure for me Both have different purposes. As someone said, video tutorials are better for learning techniques. Written patterns are totally necessary for things like colourwork.
