CHEAP YARN?

Do you guys think I should buy AliExpress yarn? It's only 1$ for ONE

A lady I knit with just gave me some baby yarn she got from China, it was super cheap and honestly it’s not that bad at all. It’s very soft.Only downside is that it doesn’t have yarn information, like grams, weight, or meters.Just a label with a strange brand name.Doesn’t even say what the fiber is, but it’s undoubtedly acrylic.

It’s likely acrylic, so if that’s ok with you, you should get it! Just make sure to wash it before you wear/use it, and wash hands well after working with it. Often times yarn from China/India has been made with harsh chemicals or may even have been exposed to lead during the manufacturing process. You definitely don’t want that in contact with your skin for long periods of time.

Honestly I've tried buying from Temu. It averages about $10 for a set of 6 skeins. Apparently it's merino, I'm not so sure on that. But it feels soft, and they have lovely colors, so I don't mind it so much. The only downside is if I need, for example, 8 skeins, I end up stuck with 12 instead because I can only buy them in packs. So I have to find new projects for the leftovers or find someone willing to take them off my hands.
