PCStitch software - photo conversion
i roughly know how to convert the photo to the cross stitch...also took some advice in the sister forum: more grids, larger size -- clearer pattern.. however photos taken by ourselves and not those with high resolution cameras.. so the conversion may seem very blur and the colours scattered all over..tried colour myself but the pattern just get worse and worse..........can anyone skilled with photo conversion to cross stitch patterns give me more tips on this? One of the most powerful features of PCStitch is the ability to convert a graphic image into a pattern. You provide the image and PCStitch will do the rest!Our software will automatically size the output image to your requirements and then automatically map the colors in the image to the floss colors available.You can determine how large the pattern is, how many colors to use, and even what type of floss to use!
PCStitch allows you to manipulate the image before the import is done.You can even see what the pattern will look like before you complete the import.
There are multiple steps you will go through to convert your image into a pattern.Each is covered in its own help topic.For additional information on any of these steps, click the topic below.
¯ Selecting your image: This topic shows you how to let PCStitch know where to get the image you want to import.It could be a file on your computer, or you could get the image directly from your scanner or digital camera.
¯ Picking a section of your image: The import wizard allows you to crop out a section of your image to work with.If you only want the face portion of your image, the crop feature allows you to select that area.
¯ Remove the Background: This feature allows you to manually erase any part of the image before you import it.If you do not want to stitch the trees in the background of your photo, this feature allows you to remove them before the conversion takes place.
¯ Sizing your output: This step allows you to determine how large your pattern will be.The preview of the image will allow you to see how changing the size of your final output will effect the clearness or resolution of your final pattern.
¯ Color Adjustments: The import wizard makes it easy for you to manipulate the image before it is converted.If you need to adjust the contrast, brightness or color of the image, this step allows you to make those changes before you complete the import.
¯ Select your Floss: The final step in the import wizard is to determine what floss family to use and how many colors you want in your design.Again, the preview feature of the import wizard allows you to see how your selections will effect your pattern before you complete your design.
