A dense and warm hat, worked in DK weight yarn with an easy cabled ribbed pattern in 3 colours. The ribbing of the brim is worked with short rows on both sides to form slight curved ear-flaps, that will keep the wearer’s ears warm and toasty. The pattern is started with smaller sized needles and continues without increases until the body of the hat. The change of the needle size as the ribbing allows for a good fit throughout. A tubular cast-on is suggested for a neat looking edge that has also good stretch, but also gives the possibility to work with a long-tail CO.
