Scanning Issues

I have a pattern that Im trying to scan into my system, in order to upload it.  Ive been able to scan 3 of the 4 pages.  One page will not scan.  Ive tried scanning it as a jpeg & a PDF with no luck.  Ive tried copying it & then scanning the copy - didnt work.  Ive tried scanning another item - no problem.  

Is it possible that the designer put something in the pattern to cause it not to scan?  There are several bounties on this pattern.

Some authors put a fingerprint, I suggest you use some online page that converts documents to pdf, many of them manage to eliminate this protection
