Task to change avatar - having difficulty

I joined recently and am still getting my bearings (DIY.0), but even after reading the New Member primer threads and running a search, I cant figure out how to change my avatar & complete that task. I think Im supposed to upload an image, but I dont have the permissions to do so. Is that correct? Do I need to level up to DIY.1 before I can complete the avatar task?
Any help appreciated, and feel free to use small words & over-explain steps! LOL

In the top right corner, click on your profile picture (the girl). On the next page, under your profile picture theres a button Edit Avatar. Click that and you can upload a picture from your PC. Hope that helps! :)

Thank you for trying to help! I tried exactly that, more than once. I guess my problem goes deeper. Do you know if the site has iPad compatibility issues? Maybe Ill borrow a laptop & try again.

Hola! Yo también  lo intente varias veces desde una ipad y no pude cambiar el avatar,  pero desde el ordenador seguro que no vas a tener problemas.Suerte!

i didnt have any issues with this task, but i used laptop (= also, if after changing your avatar is not updated, try clearing cache and log in after that. that helped me when i changed pic from one to the other :)
