Does anybody ever get that sort of lost feeling after finishing projects or a batch of stuff? I have a list of projects ideas and now that I have finished the big holiday project rush I can get to work on new stuff. My problem is that I just sort of sit there and think about what to start instead of doing something. Nothing really grabs my attention at first so I end up looking at stuff and just adding to my list instead of working from the list. Its sort of similar to when I finish a book. I have to sort of sit and reflect or else the next thing just doesnt feel right. People have told me that taking a few days off is fine, but I feel like Im being lazy if Im not doing something when I can. I was just wondering if anyone can relate to this or Im just a weirdo.
I think we all get that "let down" feeling after the holidays. It was easy for me this year because my son bought me yarn so it went to the top of the list to be used. Finished a hat in Luminoisa by Cascade and am going to start a shawl in Anzula (the one with a little cashmere in it!). Loading it into my Knit Companion program. Next will be socks from the hand dyed sock yarn he bought me :-) That will be a tough one though because theres just so many that I want to make!
I keep a list of my next projects and I do keep more than one project on the go at all times.......so when one gets finished....... I pick up the second and work it til something grabs me.
At the moment I have knitting which is slow going and cross stitching in the TV room.
