Opening Compressed Files

We have received many complaints that this or that file does not open or is damaged but in reality it only needs to open with another program. Not all open with the same programs.
Always have Winrar and 7-Zip (Its what I use, but there are others)  installed on your laptop. Files that do not open with one open with the other.

Thank you in advance for your attention. :)

With a terrible delay... Thank you very much, Sorodrigues, for this useful information! :D
Just one more question. What about the zip/rar files that have the note "Please download all parts first and then decompress together"? How does one open such files simultaneously? Any tricks? :loveliness:

Thank you so much StrawberryCat for the guidelines! Much appreciated! :)  Post time 2019-4-11 15:29
You download all files, put them all in the same folder and right-click on the first one - and choose extract. Alternatively, you mark all of the files, right-click - and choose extract.  Post time 2019-4-9 15:00
