Why is there a limit on sending messages?

can someone explain why there is such a small almost nonexistent limit on sending messages?  I think that if there is a question for a moderator they should have a special forum just for that so people like myself that are new or learning how to work on this site can get answer, since messaging is nonexistent or limited.

Hello and welcome to the forum! :)
As you have already noticed this site is vague with uncountable members - adding new each day - whilst the moderators are more or less ten, each one dedicated to a certain section of the site. You can imagine what would happen if they got unlimited messages from each member... They wouldnt have time to do anything else and the site wouldnt be functional. But dont worry! Your PMs are increasing with each level you raise, plus you have unlimited posts in Free Talk where older members are always willing to advise and guide you to learn and navigate through the site faster. Mods also see the posts in free talk and if a question remains ananswered, they reply.
Keep up the good work and post whatever is troubling you. We are all here for you! :loveliness:
