Red Eggs and Ginger

Hello there I trust that you are all having a great weekend. Today we celebrate my Grandson Cayden.  We will be having the Red Eggs and Ginger Celebration (sorry I have used the word twice ). Not being Chinese myself I  have not heard of many of these traditions,  its wonderful to be able learn about these things. This is what it means, please forgive me if I dont have everything  perfect. Back hundreds of years ago because the was a high infant mortality rate, so both mother and baby stayed secluded in order to not expose the baby to germs and infections. One month after the birth both mother and baby came out of seclusion and the baby was introduced to family and friends. Goodness  I  hope I have all my facts straight. As soon as lunch is over I will be letting you all know what it was like
