the stitch amount of any given row. I think we could have these "conversations" in private messages...but I am not sure I am the proper user group yet.
...10 rows of purl equals those 20 totally knitted rows when knitting in the round. Decreases or increases in any given row doesnt change the row count -- 20 is 20. But, it will of course change..
...because the face is stockinette stitch, say 20 rows of knit in the round, when you convert to flat side to side knitting, each knit row is 1 row, each purl row is one row. So, 10 rows of knit...
Every row, whether knitted or purled, is its own row. Using your example, a dolls head, were you to knit it in the round and assuming the front/outside (not the inside) states to knit each row....
